Jennifer Love Hewitt was born to Herbert Daniel Hewitt and Patricia Mae Shipp.
Her father worked as a technician, and her mother was a speech pathologist.
She grew up in Texas, Harker Heights. Her parents divorced and so she
was then raised by her mother, living with her mom and only brother, Todd
Hewitt. Her first name was chosen by her brother, named after a girl that
he had a crush on in his earlier years - while her middle name 'Love' was given
to her by her mother.
She always had a passion to perform, and even at the age of three was doing
performances such as the concert at the 'livestock show', where she sang Whitney
Houston's song, The Greatest Love Of All.
